::bunt:: - my Xubuntu Respin
Download bunt.ISO Torrent bunt.ISO
This has been a long time coming, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. I have quite a large range of PC’s in the house, that I occasionally “redo” and often sort out older PCs for friends and colleagues, so feel I have to create a distro that will work on just about anything, be useable by just about anyone (not everyone!), and that I don’t have to learn a new set of rules to administer (otherwise I’d use arch or slitaz or tinycore).
I am slowly building up the first edition in a virtualbox VM, nearly ready for remastering. Only downloads are screenshots at present, but this will change once I reach a certain point. Definitely not aiming for No. 1 spot on the Distrowatch list, but it would be nice if this proves useful for someone else. Now nearly ready for uploading, tested and working both as a live cd and installation, but also works well as a bootable iso image. I have expanded the software available to make it more usable, and therefore requiring less to download. should be just install and use.
It’s intended to work as a CLI and DESKTOP, built on Ubuntu, but modified for simplicity and speed. I am using the Openbox window manager, SLiM Simple Login Manager, wbar for an applications dock, and Tint2 for a panel.
